Description

The Smoke pendant light is a single glass globe, 50cm across, in Shaded Smoky Grey glass. The tint is shaded rather than even, deeper towards the top of the sphere and lighter towards its base, so the globe has a soft, graded look whether it is lit or not. The fitting is finished in Brushed Titanium, and the round canopy on the ceiling is 12.8cm across. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or replace, and it gives a warm white light at 2700K with a colour rendering index of 80.

A globe this size wants a room that can carry it. In a dining room, hung over the centre of the table, it gives the table a clear focus and warm light for long evenings; in a living room, a single Smoke pendant can fill the space above a seating area or a low coffee table. The drop runs to a maximum of 200cm, which gives room to hang it low over a table or higher under a tall ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The globe is glass with a shaded tint, and the Brushed Titanium finish gives the fitting a quiet, muted tone that sits comfortably with the Shaded Smoky Grey glass. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains by an electrician, so plan for a qualified electrician to install it. With an integrated LED there is no bulb to change, and the 2700K colour temperature keeps the light warm rather than stark. Before ordering, we suggest measuring from the ceiling to the top of your table to check that a 50cm globe on a drop of up to 200cm suits the room.
