Description

The Sirio is a low outdoor bollard that stands 300mm off the ground and casts its light through a band of sandblasted glass near the top. The frosted glass turns the source into an even glow rather than a hard beam, so lit it picks out the ground around its base without glare at eye level. Switched off, the grey aluminium post reads as a quiet square column that sits back against paving or planting.

This is the shortest height in the range at 300mm, on a 100mm wide footprint reaching 160mm front to back. That low stance suits edging a path, lining steps or marking the front of a border, where a taller post would tower over low shrubs. Rated IP65, the body and glass are sealed against dust and water jets, so it holds up on open ground, exposed plots and coastal sites through the seasons.

This version takes a single GX53 bulb up to 9W, chosen and fitted by you, so you set the brightness and colour temperature yourself. The bulb is not included. Finished in powder-painted grey, the aluminium is made for outdoor use and keeps its shade through rain and sun. We would wire it to a suitable outdoor supply through a qualified electrician.

What sort of light does the Sirio give?

A soft, even glow at ground level. The GX53 bulb sits behind a band of sandblasted glass, which spreads the light so it marks a path or border around the base rather than shining a bright point into the eye.

Does it take a bulb or is the LED built in?

This 300mm version takes a replaceable GX53 bulb up to 9W, which is not included. You fit the bulb yourself and pick the brightness and colour temperature. The taller 600mm and 800mm Sirio bollards use an integrated LED instead.

Can it stay outside in all weather?

Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, sealing the powder-painted aluminium body and glass against dust and water jets, so it copes with rain, exposed gardens and coastal sites all year. It should be wired to an outdoor supply by a qualified electrician.

How tall is it and where does it suit?
