Description

Our Round ceiling canopy is a flat, circular plate 50cm across and just 3.9cm high. It is made to hang a cluster of up to nine pendants from a single point on the ceiling. Nine outlets are spread across its face, so the drops hang in a scattered cluster rather than a straight line. It gives no light of its own: the pendants hung from it take their mains supply through it, and each of the nine is sold separately. It comes in six finishes: White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass.

It is made for the places where a group of pendants does more than one light could: over a dining table, down a stairwell, in a double-height hall or above a living room seating area. Gathering every drop at one plate means a single, neat disc on the ceiling instead of a scatter of separate roses. The wide 50cm face also gives the pendants room to hang without crowding one another. Pair it with up to nine pendants that run on mains power, in whatever lengths and shades suit the room. It is an indoor fitting, and because it has no light of its own, the look and brightness come from the pendants you choose.

The face is a smooth, plain disc edged by a faceted rim. The nine outlets sit on it as small, tidy points, so the canopy reads as a quiet plate rather than a fitting that competes with the pendants. The brushed finishes, Brushed Champagne, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass, carry a soft grain, while White, Black and Matt Black keep it plain against the ceiling. On the practical side, it runs on mains power and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so settle on your pendants and their drops before the day it goes up.
