Description

The Round ceiling canopy is a flat, circular plate that gathers several pendants at one point on the ceiling. It measures 39.5cm across and 3.9cm deep, slim enough to sit neatly against the ceiling while giving room for five cable outlets spaced around its face. The canopy gives no light of its own: the pendants hung from it take their mains supply through it, so the whole group runs from the one canopy. We offer it in White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze or Brushed Brass, so you can match it to your pendants or to the ceiling itself.

A canopy like this comes into its own over a dining table, along a hallway, down a stairwell or in the centre of a living room, anywhere a single ceiling point should carry a cluster of lights rather than one. It needs up to five pendants to hang from it, each sold separately: the pendants give the light, and the canopy holds them and passes the mains supply on to each one. That keeps the ceiling tidy, with one plate in place of several separate roses. It carries no IP rating, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The plate is a single round disc with a shallow rim, its five outlets set evenly around the face and its fixings kept small and discreet at the edge. The brushed finishes, Brushed Champagne, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass, sit warmly beside gold or bronze pendants, while White, Black and Matt Black keep the canopy quiet against a painted ceiling. As a mains fitting, it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Before you order, plan where each pendant will hang and check there is clear ceiling space for a plate 39.5cm across.
