Description

The Rimini is a modern LED pendant light with a cone shade in a warm terracotta finish, built on an iron structure and hung from a black textile cable 1.5m long. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to fit, and it draws just 4.5W while giving 600 lumens. With a 45° beam, the cone sends its light down in a focused pool rather than spreading it across the room, and a CRI of 90 or above means colours beneath it look true, so food, fabrics and paint keep their real tones. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K and 3000K.

Because the beam is focused, the Rimini works best where you want light on a surface: over a dining table, a breakfast bar or a desk, or hung low beside the bed in place of a bedside lamp. Hung in a row over a long table, several give an even run of light. We like the terracotta in modern and Scandinavian rooms, where it warms pale wood, white walls and linen and sits happily with greens and natural textures. Choose 2700K for a softer, cosier evening light in a dining room or bedroom, or 3000K for a slightly crisper white over a desk. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron, finished in terracotta, and the textile cable gives a softer, neater look than plain plastic flex. It runs on mains power at 220-240V and works on a simple on-off switch. It is not dimmable, so it is not one for a dimmer switch. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 5 year guarantee. For styling, let the cone be the one strong colour above the table, and where you hang several, keep them at the same height so the shades line up neatly.
