Description

The Radial is a round ceiling canopy in a brushed brass finish, made to take three or four pendants. It measures 24.5cm across and just 3.7cm tall, a slim disc with a hexagonal housing behind it. It gives no light of its own; its job is to power the pendants hung from it. A 12W driver is built in, feeding those pendants at 24V DC, so you need no separate power supply for them. The canopy itself runs on 230V mains, wired in by an electrician.

We would put it over a dining table, in a hallway or above a stairwell, wherever you want a cluster of pendants gathered under one tidy canopy. Choose three or four pendants, each sold separately: they give the light, and the canopy's driver feeds each one at 24V DC. You will also need the accessory for hanging the electric cable, which is not included; it is the part that carries the electric cable as it hangs. It is an indoor fitting for dry rooms, such as a dining room, living room or landing.

The brushed brass finish has a soft, fine grain rather than a high shine, so it sits quietly against a pale ceiling. With its driver built in, the canopy does the work of a separate power supply and a ceiling rose in one slim piece. It is not dimmable, so it suits pendants you simply switch on and off. Because it is wired in to the mains, it is for a qualified electrician to install. We suggest getting every part together first, so all is ready for the electrician's visit.
