Description

The Opuntia 180 is a wall light with a long, slim arm, held by a fine tension wire, that ends in a small dome-shaped head 8.2cm across. It has a reach of 178cm, and a neat rectangular bracket 17cm tall fixes it to the wall. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 8.5W and gives 700 lumens of 4000K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps the colours of food, wood and fabric looking true. We sell it in White, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass or Brushed Titanium, so you can match it to the fittings already in the room.

That long reach is what makes this wall light so useful. It carries the light well out into the room, so a fitting on one wall can bring light to a dining table, a reading chair beside the sofa or a bedside in the bedroom, without a pendant to hang or a floor lamp taking up space. In a dining room, a pair either side of a long table gives an even spread of light where people sit. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. Matt Black and White look crisp against plain walls, while Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass and Brushed Titanium give a softer, brushed look.

It is dimmable, and it dims to warm. As you turn it down, the light grows warmer as well as softer, which suits a long dinner or a quiet hour before bed. Use it with a compatible dimmer. It runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by an electrician, so it is for a qualified electrician to install.
