Description

The Nut B/60 is a bollard light for the garden, standing 60cm above the ground on a slim square post with a bell-shaped head set to one side. Its integrated LED draws 6.3W and gives 374 lumens of warm 2700K light, and because the LED is built in there is no bulb to buy or change. A CRI of 90 means planting, stone and brick keep their natural colour after dark. The head is 10cm across, the whole fitting has a projection of 17.5cm, and it is finished in Textured Terracotta, a warm earthy colour with a fine textured surface.

We see it lining a garden path, marking the edge of a lawn or a border, or lighting the way along a driveway or up to a front door. It is rated IP65, so it suits open outdoor positions, not just sheltered ones. At 60cm it sits low among shrubs and planting rather than towering over them, and a few spaced along a route mark it clearly after dark while keeping the light close to the ground. The terracotta colour sits comfortably beside gravel, stone, brick and green foliage, and suits a traditional cottage garden as well as a modern courtyard or patio.

The body is made from stainless steel, aluminium and PA12, a type of nylon, and it is fixed with an anchor that goes 12cm below ground. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. It is dimmable with a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so you can set a soft glow for evenings outside or turn it up when you need to see the path clearly. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. At 6.3W it draws very little power, which makes it an easy light to leave on through the evening.
