Description

The Nut A/01 is a compact outdoor wall light: a rounded, bell-shaped head set on a slim rectangular wall plate, with its light coming from the open end of the head. It has an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and gives 462 lumens from 6.3W at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90 so colours look natural. It stands 13.5cm tall, with a head 10cm across, and projects 15.5cm from the wall on a wall plate 8.2cm tall. We offer it in a choice of textured finishes: Textured Matt White, Textured Graphite Brown, Textured Black, Textured Terracotta, Textured Pebble Grey, Textured Grey Blue, Textured Sand Yellow and Textured Olive Grey.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor walls: beside a front door or porch, along a garden path, either side of outdoor steps, or across a terrace or patio where you sit out. A pair on facing walls frames an entrance well, and a row along a fence or pergola gives a seating area soft, warm light. It comes in two dimming versions: the TRIAC dimmable version works with a compatible dimmer, and the push button dimmable version is dimmed by push button instead, so you can choose low light for a quiet evening or full brightness for finding your keys.

The body is made from stainless steel and aluminium, with a textured finish that sits well against render, timber cladding or brick. Its IP54 rating means it is protected against dust and splashing water on an exposed outdoor wall. Estudi Manel Molina designed the Nut A/01, keeping the head rounded and the wall plate plain, so it suits a cottage as readily as a new build. It is a Class II fitting running on 230V, and it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so decide where each light goes before you book the work.
