Description
The Nerava is a 350mm alabaster wall light built around a single elongated cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster, set against a slim matt black rectangular backplate. An integrated 6W LED runs the length of the stone, casting warm 3000K light evenly through the alabaster so the cylinder itself becomes the light source. At 90mm wide and 60mm projection from the wall, it sits flush enough for hallways and corridors without intruding on circulation space.
The vertical orientation suits hallways, stairwell walls, bedside positions and either side of a vanity mirror in a dressing area. Mounted in pairs flanking a doorway or headboard, the Nerava reads as architectural rather than decorative, taking visual cues from contemporary hotel and gallery lighting. Wired into mains at 230V, the fitting needs a recessed back box at the mounting point and works on standard wall switching.
Each alabaster cylinder shows different mineral veining and tonal banding depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so the lit pattern of warm glow and darker grain varies between individual pieces. The matt black backplate deliberately recedes against painted walls, leaving the alabaster as the focal element. The black framing crisps the edges of the stone column rather than wrapping it, giving the fitting a layered, two-tone profile when viewed from an angle.

Frequently Asked
Does the Nerava come with a bulb?
The light source is an integrated 6W LED running at 3000K warm white. There is no separate bulb to fit or replace; the LED is built into the fitting and powered directly from a 230V mains connection.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Nerava is not supplied with a published IP rating, so it is intended for dry interior locations such as hallways, bedrooms and living rooms. It should not be installed in bathroom zones where an IP-rated fitting is required.
How is it mounted to the wall?
The fitting wires into a mains supply at the mounting point and fixes via the matt black backplate. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with current UK wiring regulations.
Will the alabaster pattern match between two units?
Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining and tonal variation differ piece to piece. When mounting a pair either side of a mirror or doorway, expect related but not identical patterning in the lit stone.
