Description

The Nans Sphere S/80 is a large woven outdoor pendant light: an open sphere of synthetic fibre, 80cm across and 76cm tall, hung from a 200cm suspension so the whole fitting measures 276cm from top to bottom. The open weave lets the light through, and the shade is Red (with Orange and Beige) over a Graphite Brown structure. It runs on a 24W integrated LED giving 722 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so there is no bulb to buy or change and colours look natural beneath it.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use as well as indoor rooms, so it can hang over a covered terrace, a garden dining table or a porch, and it is just as much at home above a dining table indoors or in a high-ceilinged living room. At 80cm across it suits generous spaces, and a group of them works well in a tall room. It is TRIAC-dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring the light down for a long evening meal outside.

The shade is woven from synthetic fibre, and the fitting combines it with stainless steel and aluminium, a sensible mix for a pendant rated for outdoor use. Against the Graphite Brown structure, the Red (with Orange and Beige) weave looks warm and lively by day and glows once lit. It runs on 230V and is a Class I fitting, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. Once it is up, the integrated LED means there are no bulbs to replace, and the light stays a warm, even 2700K after dark.
