Description

The Nans Sphere S/60 Outrack is an outdoor track pendant light: a large, open-woven sphere that hangs from its track and lets light through every gap in the weave. The sphere is 57cm tall and 60cm across, on a suspension length of 200cm, so it gives real presence above an outdoor table or seating area. The shade is Red Shade (with Orange and Beige), on a Brown structure. The light source is an integrated LED of 15W, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It comes in a 2700K or 3000K colour temperature, gives 393lm or 412lm depending on the version, and has a CRI of 90, so colours look true beneath it.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use: a terrace, a patio, a garden pergola or a covered porch, wherever you want a soft pool of light for evenings outside. It belongs to the Outrack range, a 24V track system, and it does not work on its own. It needs the Outrack track it fits, sold separately, which carries power to the pendant and gives it a place to hang. The track in turn needs an Outrack 24V power supply, also sold separately, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the system runs on. So the pendant runs on mains power, through its track, at 24V DC.

It is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, materials that suit a fitting rated for outdoors. It is a Class III fitting running at 24V DC, and because the LED is built in, the whole pendant is the light, with nothing inside the sphere to replace. When you plan where it hangs, allow for the 200cm suspension length and the full 60cm width of the sphere, and choose the track and power supply at the same time so the system is complete from the start.
