Description

The Nans S/55 is a woven LED pendant light with a wide, shallow cone of a shade. The shade is 55cm across and just 12cm deep, it hangs from a canopy 12cm across, and the light is 200cm tall overall. The open woven shade is Red (with Orange and Beige), set on a structure in Graphite Brown, and the whole light is made from aluminium and synthetic fibre. A soft white globe sits at its centre, beneath the weave. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 437 lumens of warm 2700K light from 8W, and with a CRI of 90, food, fabrics and faces look true to life under it.

Rated IP54 and made for outdoor use, this pendant is as much at home over a table on a terrace, under a pergola or in a porch as it is indoors. Inside, it suits a dining room, hung over the table, or a living room, where the wide shade brings a warm glow to a seating area. The open weave lets the light shine through the red, so even turned down low it reads as a soft, patterned shape rather than a bare point of light. For a longer table, hang a pair or a row of them at the same height.

The Nans S/55 is TRIAC dimmable, so you can bring it down for a late supper outside or a quiet evening in. It needs a compatible dimmer to do so. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in rather than plugged into a socket, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Before you order, check the drop you want. The light is 200cm tall overall, and the 55cm shade wants a little clear space around it, especially over a table where people stand up and sit down.
