Description

The Nans M/21/R is a cordless table lamp with a woven shade, a small lantern you can pick up by its handle and carry from room to room. Its integrated LED gives 147lm of warm 2700K light from 3W, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and a CRI of 90 keeps colours looking true. The shade is a rounded barrel in Brown (with Beige and Light Grey), woven in an open lattice that lets the light through in a soft pattern, beneath a Graphite Brown lid and handle. It stands 20.4cm tall, with a shade 16.5cm tall and 16.7cm across, and a 12.3cm handle.

It runs on a rechargeable battery charged by USB-C, so it is free of a flex once charged and can sit wherever you want the light. We like it on a bedside table in the bedroom, where the warm glow suits winding down, or on a side table, sideboard or bookshelf in the living room, and the handle makes it easy to move between the two as the evening goes on. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It is made of stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, with a Graphite Brown structure that carries the handle and a woven shade in Brown (with Beige and Light Grey) whose mix of colours gives the lattice its depth. As a Class III fitting it runs at 5V DC, and because the LED is built in there is no bulb to source and nothing to wire in. The USB-C charging port sits in the lid, so when the battery runs low you can top it up and have it back on the bedside table, ready for the evening.
