Description

The Nans Bag/38/R is a rechargeable outdoor floor lamp shaped like a low, round woven basket, 60cm across, that sits directly on the ground on short feet. Its body is an open weave, and its shade is Beige (with Light Blue and Light Grey), so the pale cord picks up a faint cool tint where the colours cross. A dark round top closes the opening, with two handles set on it for carrying. Inside, an integrated LED gives 443 lumens, glowing through the weave and pooling on the ground around the base. Because the LED is built in, there is never a bulb to buy or change.

Rated IP44, it is made for outdoor use: stand it on a patio, a terrace or a balcony, and we like it at the edge of a lawn, where a cable could never reach. It runs from a rechargeable battery charged by USB-C, so there is nothing to trail across the garden, and at the end of the evening you can lift it by its handles and carry it back inside. Indoors it suits a living room just as well, placed beside a sofa or in a bare corner. At 443 lumens it is a mood light rather than a reading lamp, giving a soft circle of light low down where you want atmosphere, not task lighting.
