Description

The Nans A/02 is an outdoor wall light with a woven shade: a rounded cylinder of synthetic fibre hung from a curved arm that reaches out from a 12cm round wall rose. The shade is Brown (with Beige and Light Grey), and the arm and wall rose are Graphite Brown. Light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it glows a warm 2700K through the open weave. It draws 9.5W and gives 386lm, with a CRI of 90, so planting, brick and timber keep their true colours after dark. It stands 34.4cm tall overall and projects 29cm from the wall, and the shade itself is 24.6cm tall and 21.6cm across.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a garden wall, a porch, a patio or the wall beside a front or back door. A pair either side of an entrance frames a doorway well, and several along a terrace give gentle light for evenings outside. The woven shade sits comfortably with garden furniture, planting and brick or rendered walls. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring it down low for a quiet supper outdoors or turn it up to light the steps.

It is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, with the structure in Graphite Brown and the woven fibre shade held clear of the wall on the curved arm. It is a Class I fitting running at 230V and is wired in to the mains, so it needs a qualified electrician to install it. With the LED built in, there is nothing else to fit once it is on the wall. When you choose a spot, allow for the 29cm it stands out from the wall, and leave room for the shade's 21.6cm width beside a door frame, window or climbing plant.
