Description

The Nans A/01 is a woven LED outdoor wall light: a barrel-shaped shade hung from a curved arm on a round wall rose. The structure is finished in Graphite Brown and the shade is Beige (with Light Blue and Light Grey), so the weave sits soft and pale against the darker metalwork. Light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 285lm from 8W at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, which keeps faces, planting and brickwork looking natural after dark. The fitting is 26cm tall and reaches 26.5cm out from the wall, on a 12cm wall rose; the shade itself is 16.5cm tall and 16.7cm across.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a front door, a porch, a patio or a garden wall, anywhere you want a soft, welcoming light rather than a floodlight. At 285lm it is a gentle light for marking an entrance or the path to the door, and the woven shade softens it further. It is dimmable (TRIAC) with a compatible dimmer, so you can turn it down for a late evening outside. A pair either side of a door looks balanced and settled.

It is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre: the structure carries the Graphite Brown finish, and the woven shade gives an open lattice, with the light passing through the gaps in the weave. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician; it is a Class I fitting. With the LED built in there is no bulb to replace, so once it is up, the only choice left is how bright you want it.
