Description

The Murané Street Track Ceiling Light is a single globe of Pink glass, 15cm across, that sits just beneath a ceiling track on a short collar in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, dimpled surface that gives the globe a soft, textured look. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 4W and gives 167lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, wood and skin tones looking true. It is dimmable through DALI control, so it needs a DALI control system to turn it up and down.

We like it in the kitchen, where a line of Pink glass globes along a track over an island or a breakfast bar gives a warm, low glow to cook and eat by. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and in a kitchen it belongs away from the sink. This is a track light, and it does not work on its own. It fits the Murané Street 48V track, sold separately, which holds it on the ceiling and carries its power. The track also needs a Murané Street 48V power supply for the track, sold separately, which feeds power into it. The light itself runs at 48V DC from a remote 48V DC driver, not included and sold separately, which turns the mains into the supply it needs.

The globe is Pink glass and the collar has a Brushed Champagne finish, a soft, pale gold tone that sits warmly against the Pink glass. Power comes from the mains, wired in by an electrician through the 48V DC driver, and the light, track, power supply and driver are all for a qualified electrician to install. It is worth settling where the track will run over your island before you order. The track in our photographs is not included.
