Description

The Murané R is a ring chandelier 150cm across: a slim hoop in a Brushed Champagne finish, hung with twelve Forest Green glass spheres, each 15cm across. Some spheres sit on top of the ring and some hang beneath it, and the glass has a rippled, textured surface that catches the light and scatters it gently. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 32W and gives 1765 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90 that keeps food, wood and skin tones looking true.

At 150cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room. It is at its best centred over a long dining table, where the ring frames the whole setting, or hung in a spacious living room so the spheres can be seen from below and from across the room. The Forest Green glass gives a soft, tinted glow rather than a hard white light, so it suits rooms where you want evenings to feel warm and relaxed. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry indoor rooms only.

It comes without its canopy, and no version with a canopy exists, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, to cover the connection at the ceiling. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the chandelier runs on. As a Class III fitting it works at this extra-low voltage from the driver, and the chandelier is wired in to the mains by an electrician through that driver; it is a job for a qualified electrician only. The Brushed Champagne finish has a soft, low sheen that sits warmly against the Forest Green glass. Our practical advice: put the canopy and the driver on your list alongside the chandelier, so your electrician has everything needed on the day.
