Description

The Murané R chandelier is a wide ring in brushed champagne, hung with twelve Forest Green glass spheres set in pairs around its circle. The ring is 140cm across and each sphere is 10cm across, so the whole fitting reads as an open halo of light rather than a heavy mass. The glass is rippled, giving every sphere a softly broken, glowing surface. It runs on integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change: 32W gives 1765 lumens of warm 2700K light, and a CRI of 90 keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true.

At 140cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room. Over a long dining table it gives a warm, even glow for meals and conversation, and the open ring keeps sight lines clear across the table. Centred in a large living room, it marks the middle of the space and lifts the whole ceiling without crowding it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. Allow for its full width when you plan where it hangs, and leave comfortable space around the ring so it sits well in the room.

The ring has a brushed champagne finish, a soft, warm tone that sits easily with the Forest Green glass. The chandelier comes without its canopy, and no version is made with one, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which is the ceiling fitting the chandelier hangs from. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the chandelier runs on. The fitting is wired in to the mains by an electrician through that driver, and it is for a qualified electrician to install.
