Description

The Murané R is a large ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 150cm across, with twelve Caramel glass spheres set around it, each 15cm across. Some spheres sit on top of the ring and others hang beneath it, so the light rises and falls as it travels round. The glass has a rippled surface that catches the light and glows a warm amber. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 32W and gives 1765 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and food keep their true colours.

At 150cm across, this chandelier is made for a generous room. We see it over a long dining table, where the ring frames the table and the warm light is kind to faces and food, or at the centre of a large living room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The Murané R runs at 24V DC and needs two further parts. It comes without its canopy, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which covers the connection at the ceiling. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the LEDs run on. You need both before it can be hung and lit.

The ring carries the Brushed Champagne finish, a soft, muted gold with a fine brushed grain, and the twelve spheres are Caramel glass, a deep, honeyed amber. It is a Class III fitting, powered from the mains through its driver, and it is for a qualified electrician to install. As a practical note, order the canopy and the driver at the same time as the chandelier, and measure your ceiling position to be sure the full 150cm ring sits comfortably in the room.
