Description

The Murané R chandelier is a slim ring in a Brushed Champagne finish, 110cm across, carrying eight Caramel glass spheres, each 10cm across. Some spheres sit along the top of the band and others hang just beneath it, so the light spreads around the whole circle rather than gathering at one point. The glass has a rippled, molten texture that catches and bends the light, and the Caramel colour gives a deep honey glow. The light source is integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. Its 21W gives 1177lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, wood and skin tones looking true.

At 110cm across, this chandelier wants room around it. We think it is at its best centred over a dining table or in a generous living room, where the ring reads as a circle of soft points from below. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. To hang it you need two parts that are sold separately. The first is a Murané R canopy. The chandelier comes without its canopy, and the canopy is the ceiling fitting it hangs from. The second is a remote 24V DC driver, not included, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the LEDs run on.

The ring is finished in Brushed Champagne, a soft, warm metallic tone that sits happily with brass, oak and warm whites, and the Caramel glass deepens that warmth once the light is on. The fitting is Protection Class III, meaning it runs at extra low voltage from its driver. It is powered from the mains, wired in by a qualified electrician through the 24V DC driver.
