Description

The Murané R is a ring chandelier: a single band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 150cm across, carrying twelve Amber glass spheres, each 15cm across. The spheres sit in pairs, one above the ring and one below, and their rippled glass glows a warm honey gold when lit. The light comes from integrated LEDs, so there are no bulbs to buy or change: 32W in all, giving 1765 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a colour rendering index of 90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural beneath it.

At 150cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room: centred over a long dining table, where the ring frames everyone seated around it, or hung in a living room with the space to let it float. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It comes without its canopy, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which fixes to the ceiling and neatly covers the point where the chandelier is hung. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC its LEDs run on.

The ring carries its Brushed Champagne finish all the way round, a soft metallic tone with a fine brushed grain, and the Amber glass holds its deep colour even when the light is off. The chandelier runs at 24V DC and is a Class III fitting, which means the ring and its spheres work at the low voltage the driver supplies. Power comes from the mains, wired in by a qualified electrician through the driver, and installation is a job for them alone. The practical step is simple: have the canopy and driver to hand before the day the chandelier goes up.
