Description

The Murané R is a ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 120cm across, with spheres of Amber glass spaced around it, each 15cm across. The glass has a rippled surface that catches and bends the light, so every sphere glows a warm amber when it is lit. It uses integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It draws 21W and gives 1177 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a colour rendering index of 90, which keeps food, skin and fabrics looking true to their colour.

At 120cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room. We like it hanging over a long dining table, where the ring frames the table and the glass spheres give a soft, warm glow for evening meals. It also works in the centre of a large living room, where it becomes the main light of the space. The open ring keeps it light to the eye for its size, so it fills the room without blocking the view across it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The warm 2700K light suits dining and relaxing rather than close work at a desk.

The ring and its Amber glass spheres arrive as one chandelier in the Brushed Champagne finish, and it comes without its canopy. You will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which is the fitting at the ceiling the chandelier hangs from. It runs at 24V DC and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician through a remote 24V DC driver, also sold separately, which converts mains power to the 24V DC the LED needs. There is no version with a canopy included, so we suggest ordering the canopy and the driver together with the chandelier, so your electrician has everything needed on the day.
