Description

The Murané R 18 is a ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, set all the way round with spheres of Amber glass, each 10cm across. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface, so every sphere catches and bends the light differently and the whole ring glows warmly when it is lit. The chandelier is 79cm across. Its light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it gives 2647 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, which keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking true.

We would hang it over a dining table, where the ring of glass reads well from every seat, or at the centre of a living room, where it gives a warm, even light across the space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It runs at 24V DC and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician through a remote 24V DC driver, which is sold separately and turns the mains supply into the low voltage the chandelier needs.

The band has a Brushed Champagne finish, a soft, pale gold with a fine brushed grain that sits quietly beside the warmer Amber glass. It is a Class III fitting, made to run at 24V DC rather than straight from the mains. The chandelier comes without its canopy, and no version with one exists: you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which is the ceiling piece it hangs from and covers the connection there. Neither the canopy nor the driver is optional, so we suggest ordering both alongside the chandelier and passing all three to your electrician together.
