Description

The Murané R is a large ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 140cm across, set with glass spheres in Smoke Grey, each 10cm across with a rippled, textured surface. The light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 32W and gives 1765 lumens of warm 2700K light, and with a colour rendering index of 90 it keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking natural. It is a fitting that holds a room on its own, so give it space to breathe.

At 140cm across, this is a chandelier for a large room: hang it over a long dining table, where it gives the table a warm centre of light, or in a generous living room with the ceiling height to let it hang well clear of heads. The 2700K light is warm and relaxed, right for long dinners and quiet evenings alike. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry rooms only. The Smoke Grey glass and Brushed Champagne finish sit happily with warm woods, stone and soft neutrals.

The chandelier comes without its canopy, and there is no version made with one, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately: it is the ceiling fitting the ring hangs from. Power comes from the mains, wired in by an electrician, through a remote 24V DC driver, also sold separately, which turns mains power into the 24V DC the integrated LED runs on. It is a Class III fitting. The finish is Brushed Champagne, a soft, warm metallic, and the spheres are Smoke Grey glass, so the ring looks considered even when it is switched off. Our practical advice: plan the canopy, the driver and the electrician together, so everything is ready at once. The suspension ropes in our photographs are not included.
