Description

The Luxeon Wide is a 560mm linear track light with an integrated 13W LED strip housed in a black aluminium profile, designed to mount onto Ideal Lux Ego track systems. The fitting outputs 4000K neutral white light through a diffuser that runs the length of the aluminium body, and the entire head can be angled along the track rail to direct light onto specific areas or products.

Designed for retail shelving, gallery walls, and commercial display lighting where a linear wash of light is more effective than individual spotlights, the Luxeon Wide suits track runs between 1.5m and 4m in length where multiple heads can be positioned at intervals to build continuous or segmented illumination. The 13W LED output provides general accent lighting rather than high-intensity product spotlighting, making it appropriate for mid-sized displays, wall art and merchandise shelving where the goal is even coverage rather than dramatic contrast.

The black aluminium profile measures 560mm in length with a 22mm projection from the track rail when mounted, sitting relatively close to the ceiling or suspension system. The dimmable LED works with mains dimmers (compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model), allowing brightness to be adjusted according to the time of day, task requirements, or ambient light levels in the space. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to indoor use only.

The Luxeon Wide is part of Ideal Lux's Ego track profile system, which means it requires an Ego track rail for installation and is not compatible with other track standards such as 3-circuit or global track systems. The track rail is sold separately and must be specified at the same time to ensure the head can be fitted.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no protection against moisture or dust ingress and is rated for indoor use only. For outdoor track lighting, an IP44 or higher rating is required.
