Description
The Lirone is a 350mm alabaster wall light built around a vertical capsule cut from natural Spanish alabaster, held between two brass uprights and mounted on a rectangular brass back plate. Two G9 lamps sit concealed inside the capsule, casting light up through the rounded top and down through the rounded base while the centre of the stone glows softly with diffused light.
At 350mm tall, 103mm wide and projecting 60mm from the wall, the Lirone suits hallways, bedside walls, ensuites and stairwell landings where a slim vertical fitting works better than a horizontal one. The compact projection keeps the fitting clear of head height in narrower spaces, and the up-and-down light pattern washes the wall above and below the capsule rather than spilling forward into the room.
The alabaster is cut from a solid block, so each capsule shows different mineral veining and translucency when lit. The brass uprights run the full height of the stone with clean vertical edges, and the warm brass tone reads as a softer, less reflective alternative to polished metal. The fitting weighs in as a substantial piece for its size, with smooth junctions between stone and metal and no visible fixings on the front face.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Lirone take?
Two G9 capsule lamps, fitted internally behind the alabaster. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white 2700K-3000K G9 LED of 3-4W per lamp gives the closest match to the soft glow shown in the product image without overheating the stone.
Does each piece of alabaster look the same?
No. The capsule is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral inclusions and translucency vary between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and the variation is most visible when the light is switched on.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Lirone is not supplied with an IP rating in the specification, so it should be installed in dry interior locations only. For ensuite or bathroom use it would need to be sited outside the splash zones defined by the IET wiring regulations.
How is it mounted to the wall?
The fitting attaches via a rectangular brass back plate that fixes to a standard recessed wall box. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the 60mm projection from the wall should be checked against the position to ensure clearance in narrower hallways or beside doorways.
