Description

The Korvane is a two-light wall fitting built around a 300mm circular travertine backplate in light beige, paired with an opal glass globe at the upper edge and a cylindrical walnut-brown spotlight projecting from the lower section. The travertine disc shows the natural pores and soft tonal banding of the stone, with a G9 globe set into its upper portion for ambient light and an E27 spot below for directional output.

The combination of two light sources in one fitting suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where a single wall position needs to provide both atmospheric wash light and a focused beam. The opal globe casts soft ambient light across the travertine face, picking up the stone's texture, while the walnut cylinder below can be aimed at a reading chair, a piece of artwork, or a bedside surface. Each light source is independently lamped, allowing the brightness and colour temperature to be tuned per function.

The travertine is a natural stone, so each disc shows different pore patterns, mineral banding and subtle colour variation between pieces. The walnut-brown finish on the spotlight cylinder is warm-toned to sit alongside the beige stone, and the smooth white glass of the globe gives a clean visual counterpoint to the textured stone surface. What bulbs does the Korvane take?

The fitting takes two separate bulbs: one G9 capsule for the opal glass globe at the top of the disc, and one E27 (Edison screw) bulb for the walnut cylindrical spotlight below. Both are sold separately, and each can be specified independently for wattage and colour temperature.

Can the spotlight head be aimed?

The walnut cylinder projects from the lower section of the travertine disc and is designed to direct a beam of light away from the wall. It works well aimed at a reading position, a piece of artwork or a console below the fitting.
