Description
The Koala is a small outdoor spotlight that throws a single directed beam rather than a broad wash. A compact die-cast head sits on a hinged base, so its 32-degree cone of light can be aimed at a wall, a tree or a planted bed and locked in place. Lit at night it picks out one target cleanly; by day it reads as a neat black block on its bracket.
The head measures 39mm wide and 89mm tall, projecting 67.5mm on its base, a small footprint that tucks into a border or fixes to a wall or fence without drawing the eye. It mounts on the supplied base for wall and floor fixing, and a strap is offered for binding it to a tree or pole. Rated IP65 against dust and water jets, it is built to stay out in the garden through the seasons and suits accenting a specimen plant, a wall feature or a path edge.
The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium in black with a clear tempered glass lens, and the light comes from an integrated LED giving 250 lumens at 3000K warm white with a colour rendering index above 90, so foliage and stone hold true colour after dark. Rated for around 35,000 hours, the module is built in and included, so no bulb is ever bought or replaced. It wires straight to the outdoor circuit.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Koala give?
A single aimed beam, not a wide flood. The head throws a 32-degree cone at 3000K warm white with a colour rendering index above 90, so one plant, wall feature or path can be picked out with true colour. The hinged base lets the beam be angled and locked.
Does it need bulbs?
No. An integrated LED giving 250 lumens is built into the head and included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around 35,000 hours of normal outdoor use.
How is it fixed?
It comes on a base for fixing to a wall, a fence or the ground, and a strap is offered for binding it to a tree or a pole. Rated IP65 against dust and water jets, it should be wired by a qualified electrician.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The head is 39mm wide and 89mm tall on a 67.5mm base, small enough to sit in a border or on a wall unobtrusively. It suits accenting a specimen plant, lighting a wall or feature, or marking a path or step.
