The Horatio Junior is a compact oval bulkhead light made from solid brass in a raw brass finish, with clear ribbed glass held behind a brass cage. Four wing clamps fasten the caged front to the body, giving it the plain, practical look of a working light. It measures 12.5cm wide, 21cm long and 13cm deep and weighs 1.4KG, a size that sits neatly beside a doorway without crowding it. The IP64 rating settles where it can go: it is dust-tight and protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors in British weather all year round.

On the outside of a house it suits a front door, a porch or a garden wall, and it looks at home on a boathouse. The maker says the maritime influence shows in the range's materials, designs and names, and describes these bulkheads as designed for outdoor spots that call for an industrial or nautical effect.
