Description

The Hilow Line Alps Green is a floor lamp pared back to a single line of light: a slim matt black rod, 2.3cm across, rising from a cylinder of green marble to stand 207cm tall. The marble base is 12cm across and 30cm tall, and its veined green surface is the one note of colour on an otherwise plain black fitting. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. At 39W it gives 2714 lumens with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, fabrics and timber looking true to life.

We see it in a living room, standing in a corner or beside a sofa or reading chair, where its height and narrow profile give generous light from very little floor space. It comes in two colour temperatures, 3000K or 2700K, chosen when you order: 2700K gives a warmer, softer glow for evenings, while 3000K is a slightly crisper white that still feels homely. A cable dimmer lets you bring it down low for a film or up for reading. It plugs in, so it can move when the furniture does. It is rated IP20, which makes it a lamp for dry rooms only.

The rod is finished in matt black, a quiet finish that sits easily against painted walls, timber and stone, while the green marble base anchors the line at floor level and brings a natural material into the room. It runs at 230V and is a Class II fitting, and it needs nothing sold separately: stand it where you want it, plug it in and set the dimmer to suit the hour.
