The Hilow is an LED wall light made as an open grid of slim rods that cross at right angles, like a loose lattice, all in a Brushed Titanium finish. One long bar across the middle carries a black diffuser, and that is where the light comes from: a clean, bright line set within the quieter lines of the frame. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and a CRI of 90 keeps colours looking true. It is 113cm wide, 82cm tall and 13cm deep. It comes in 2700K, the warmer white, or 3000K, and draws 71W or 77W, giving 3812lm or 4088lm, depending on the version.

At this size the Hilow covers a good stretch of wall, and with up to 4088lm it gives real light as well as shape. We like it in a living room above a sofa or on a long, bare wall, in a dining room over a sideboard, and in a bedroom above the bed, where the 2700K choice suits a softer evening light. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only. The open grid looks as considered unlit as lit, so it earns its place on the wall during the day too.

The Hilow is a 230V mains fitting, wired in by a qualified electrician, and it comes in two versions. The DALI or push dimmable version dims through a DALI control system or from a simple push switch, so it suits a home with lighting controls as well as one without. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately and not included, which powers the light; it will not work without one. Choose the colour temperature and the version together when you order, so the fitting matches the way your room is wired.
