Description

This is the Golden Ring ceiling canopy in Black, a round plate 30cm across that fixes to the ceiling and holds the cables of a Golden Ring light. Six points spaced around its rim take the steel suspension cables, and a single point at the centre takes the electric cable. The canopy gives no light of its own: the pendants hung from it take their mains supply through it, so it is the part that both carries the light and powers it. The Black finish keeps it quiet against a dark ceiling or crisp against a pale one.

It belongs to the Golden Ring range, and it is the canopy to choose when your Golden Ring light hangs from six steel cables with one electric cable feeding it from the centre. It is for indoor use, on the ceiling of a dry room: above a dining table, in a living room, or in a hallway or stairwell with height to spare. At 30cm across it spreads the six cable points widely over the ceiling, and its plain round shape and Black finish let the light hanging beneath it take the eye rather than the fixing.

The canopy is a round piece in a Black finish, with the six cable points set evenly around its edge and the electric cable point at its centre. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, and from then on it carries the supply down to the light. There is no bulb or LED in the canopy itself, so there is nothing in it to replace; all the light comes from the Golden Ring pendants hung from it. Before you order, measure your ceiling: you need a clear circle 30cm across for the canopy to sit in place.
