Description

The Giano 25 is a compact LED wall light from our Giano range: a neat rectangular box with crisp, square edges and a plain, smooth front. It comes in two finishes, white or black, so it can blend into a pale wall or read as a dark, graphic line against plaster or timber. It measures 26.9cm long and 9.8cm tall. The light source is an integrated LED drawing 11W and giving 614 lumens at 3000K, a warm white, with a colour rendering index of 90, so skin tones, fabrics and paint colours look natural rather than flat.

We like it in the rooms where you want soft, warm light at wall height: the living room, the dining room and the bedroom. A pair either side of a bed, a sofa or a sideboard gives a balanced, symmetrical look, and several spaced along a long wall pick out its length in the evening. Choose white to keep a light scheme quiet and let the glow do the work, or black for a crisp accent in a modern interior or against panelling. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

Both finishes are a single, even colour with no fussy detail, which keeps the box shape clean whichever you choose. Because the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or replace. It runs on 230V mains and must be wired in by a qualified electrician, so it is worth deciding where each light goes before they visit, especially if you are fitting a matching pair.
