Description

The Garota PF/01 is a semi-flush outdoor ceiling light with a squat, rounded globe shade in Ivory White, hung a short way beneath a white canopy on a slim stem. The shade is an open weave, so the light glows softly through it rather than glaring from a bare bulb. It stands 24cm tall, with a shade 27cm across. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 8.4W and gives 416 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps faces, food and planting looking true to colour.

Rated IP66, it is protected against dust and powerful jets of water, so it can go in exposed outdoor positions as well as sheltered ones: a porch ceiling, a covered terrace, the underside of a balcony or a garden room overhang. It suits anyone who wants something gentler and more decorative than a plain bulkhead light, and the woven shade sits well with outdoor furniture in rattan, timber or rope. The fitting is dimmable with a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so you can keep it low for a late supper outside and bring it up when you need to see the steps or find your keys.

It is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre, and the finish is Natural & White, with the shade in Ivory White. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà. It runs on 230V mains and is a Class I fitting, to be wired in by a qualified electrician. There is nothing else to buy to make it work: the LED is built in, so the fitting is complete as it comes. At 24cm tall it sits close to the ceiling, so it suits lower porch and terrace ceilings where a pendant would be in the way.
