Description

The Firefly in the Sky is a rechargeable table lamp in a Brushed Champagne finish, compact at 26.5cm tall and 12.4cm across. A shallow, tapered shade sits on a slim stem that widens at the top to meet it, and the stem rises from a low, round base, so the lamp reads as one clean line from top to bottom. Its light comes from a 2W integrated LED giving 134 lumens at 2700K, a warm white close to the glow of a traditional bulb, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural beneath it. Because the LED is built in, there is never a bulb to buy or change.

It runs on a rechargeable battery charged by USB-C, so it can go where the light is wanted rather than where the wiring is, and move with you from room to room. We like it on a bedside table, where its low, warm light suits the last half hour before sleep, or on a living room shelf, sideboard or coffee table to warm a corner in the evening. It is rated IP65, so it is also at home in a bathroom, giving a gentle glow by the bath without the glare of an overhead light. At 134 lumens it is a lamp for mood and accent rather than for reading.

The Brushed Champagne finish is a soft, pale gold with a fine brushed texture that takes the light gently rather than shining, and it sits easily with warm woods, linen and stone. The lamp runs at 5V DC and is a Class III fitting, and its IP65 rating means it is dust tight and protected against jets of water. There is nothing to install and nothing to wire: when the battery runs low, recharge it by USB-C and it is ready to light the room again.
