Description

The Falmorne is a cordless, rechargeable table lamp with a square shade that glows softly and evenly when lit. Its integrated LED needs no bulb: it draws 1.3W and gives 150 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90+ so colours look true beneath it. A touch dimmer lets you turn it up for reading or down to a gentle glow. The lamp is 30cm tall and 14cm wide, and we offer it in three finishes: White, Corten in a rust colour, and Anthracite.

Because it runs on a lithium polymer battery rather than a cable, you can carry it wherever the evening goes: a dining table, a bedside, a balcony or a patio. It is rated IP45, so it suits outdoor use in the garden as well as rooms indoors. The maker states it is intended to light up indoor and outdoor areas. It also hangs as a pendant by its leather strap, so you can loop it over a sturdy branch, a hook or a pergola beam for a hanging light on a summer night. A full charge gives about 8 hours of light, enough for a long dinner outside.

It is made from iron, plastic, wood and leather. Charging takes about 5 hours. It comes without a charger or USB cable, which are sold separately: the Single USB Lamp Charger with 1.5m Cable charges one lamp, and the 8 Port USB Lamp Charger with 1.5m Cables charges up to eight at once. For a garden table, we like two or three hung at different heights from a branch, or a single lamp standing at the centre of the table, where its warm light falls on faces and food.
