Description
The Essence is a tall floor-to-ceiling lamp built as a single tensioned line, a slim round opal column of light held on a black cable between a ceiling cap and a small floor base. The satin opal diffuser is only 60mm across but runs high up the room, so the built-in LED reads as a fine glowing rod rather than a bright point. Lit, it draws a quiet full-height stroke of light in a corner; off, the brass cap and base catch the daylight as two small warm-metal details top and bottom.
The light is very warm at 2700K, close to old filament light, putting out 1500 lumens along the opal body for a soft, low-key wash rather than a directed beam. Because the column spans from floor to ceiling and sits proud of the wall, the glow spreads gently to either side over its full height, which suits it to a corner, a stairwell or the side of a tall room where a slim vertical of light is wanted.
The ceiling cap, body and floor base are plated metal in brass, with a satin opal PVC diffuser and a black PVC supporting cable. It is powered from the base by a cable with a plug, and the LED is integrated and included, rated for 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy. It is supplied as a standard on/off fitting and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Essence give?
A soft, very warm glow at 2700K, close to old filament light. The slim opal column spreads the built-in LED along its full height, so it reads as a fine glowing rod and washes light gently to either side rather than casting a directed beam. It is an ambient light.
How does it fix in place?
It is a floor-to-ceiling lamp. A black cable runs from a ceiling cap down to a small floor base and holds the opal column under tension, spanning the full height between them. It is powered from the base by a cable with a plug, so it needs both a floor spot and the ceiling above it.
Does it come ready to light?
Yes. The LED is integrated and included, rated at 16.5W and 1500 lumens with a 50,000 hour life, so there is no bulb to buy. It plugs into a socket at the base.
How tall is it and where does it suit?
The column spans up to 7040mm from floor to ceiling and is 60mm across. That slim, full-height shape suits a corner, a stairwell or a tall room, in the brass finish with a round body.
