Description
The ESP Aperta is a single-way IP door entry kit comprising a 7-inch colour monitor, an IP65-rated outdoor keypad door panel, and a PoE network switch. The system operates over a standard Cat5e/Cat6 network cable, with the PoE switch providing power to both the monitor and door panel from a single mains connection, eliminating the need for separate power supplies at each endpoint.
Designed for single-dwelling installations such as houses, small offices and workshops, the Aperta allows two-way audio communication between the door panel and monitor, with live video feed visible on the 7-inch screen when the door panel call button is pressed. The outdoor panel includes a numeric keypad for access code entry, a camera positioned above the keypad for face-height video capture, and a built-in speaker and microphone for audio. The IP65 rating protects the panel against dust ingress and water jets from any direction.
The monitor mounts on an internal wall using the included bracket and connects to the PoE switch via a single network cable. The outdoor panel surface-mounts onto a wall or gate post, with cable entry points on the rear and base. Both units are finished in black with brushed metal trim. The system supports door release functionality when paired with a compatible electric strike or magnetic lock (sold separately), with the release trigger operated from a button on the monitor during a call.
The kit includes all three core components (monitor, door panel, PoE switch) plus mounting hardware and a quick-start guide. Network cable is not included and must be purchased separately based on the specific cable run distance between door panel, switch location and monitor position.

Frequently Asked
What cable is needed between the door panel and monitor?
The system requires Cat5e or Cat6 network cable between the door panel, PoE switch and monitor. Cable is not included in the kit. Measure the total cable run from the outdoor panel location to the switch position, plus switch to monitor position, and add 10-15% for routing margin.
Can the outdoor panel withstand rain and weather exposure?
Yes. The door panel carries an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. It can be surface-mounted on an external wall or gate post in exposed positions.
Does the system support door release?
Yes. The monitor includes a door release button that can trigger a compatible electric strike or magnetic lock during a call. The lock hardware and any additional wiring or power supply required for the lock are sold separately.
What's included in the kit?
The kit includes the 7-inch monitor, IP65 keypad door panel, PoE network switch, mounting hardware for both the monitor and door panel, and a quick-start guide. Network cable and door release hardware are not included.
