Description
The Dorsa is a wall light built around a 230mm tall light beige travertine cylinder mounted to a rectangular walnut brown wooden backplate. The 65mm diameter stone tube is open at the lower end, where a single E27 lamp (sold separately) sits recessed inside the cylinder and casts light downwards through the opening. The natural travertine surface shows the pitted, pored texture characteristic of the stone, with mineral flecks and tonal variation visible across each piece.
Designed for indoor wall mounting in living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and stairwells, the Dorsa works as accent or layered ambient lighting alongside ceiling fixtures and table lamps. The compact 65mm projection sits close to the wall, suiting narrow corridors and the sides of bedheads where bulkier wall lights would intrude. The vertical orientation draws the eye upward, which helps in rooms with standard ceiling heights where horizontal fittings can feel low.
Travertine is a sedimentary stone formed in mineral springs, and the natural pitting on each cylinder differs from piece to piece, so no two Dorsa wall lights look identical when lit. The walnut brown wooden bracket grounds the pale stone with a darker, warmer tone, and the contrast between the two natural materials gives the fitting a sculptural quality without ornament. Combined height across stone and bracket suits a typical mounting position of 1.5-1.7m above floor level.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Dorsa take?
The Dorsa takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-9W and 2700K-3000K is recommended to suit the natural tone of the travertine and produce a warm downward wash.
Does the travertine vary between pieces?
Yes. Travertine is a natural stone formed in mineral springs, so the pitting, pored texture and tonal variation differ between individual cylinders. This is a feature of the material rather than a defect.
Is the Dorsa suitable for bathrooms or outdoors?
No. This wall light is rated for indoor dry locations only. It does not carry an IP rating for use in bathroom zones or external installation. Suitable rooms include living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and stairwells.
How is the travertine cleaned?
Travertine is porous, so wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can stain or etch the stone. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable.
