Description

The Domita S/20 is a small pendant light with a bell-shaped shade made of curved wooden slats. The slats flare out at the top and again at the bottom, crossing one another to form an open lattice, so the light inside falls through the gaps and the wood glows warm and soft. The finish is Brown & Natural Wood, with pale natural wood slats around a brown centre. The materials are iron, aluminium and wood finished beech. The shade is 25.5cm tall and 20cm across, and it hangs on a drop of up to 200cm from a round canopy 11cm across, 3.5cm deep, with a 9cm base.

Its size makes the Domita S/20 a natural fit for the dining room and the living room. Over a dining table it brings the light down to where people sit and gives the table a warm focus, and a few hung in a line along a longer table work well together, each one sold separately. In a living room it suits a spot over a side table or a quiet corner that wants a gentle glow rather than a bright overhead light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It takes one GU10 bulb of up to 8W, and that bulb is not included: it is sold separately, and it is what gives the pendant its light, so the bulb you choose sets the brightness and colour of the glow. The Domita S/20 runs on 230V mains power and is a Class II fitting. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install, and the drop can be set to suit your ceiling and table, up to 200cm.
