Description

The Cornova is a 450mm slim linear wall light built from a tall, narrow panel of natural Spanish alabaster set into a matte black solid copper frame. An integrated 3000K LED runs the full length of the fitting behind the alabaster, diffusing soft white light through the stone from top to bottom. The fixture measures 45mm wide and projects 90mm from the wall, giving a crisp vertical bar of light without significant intrusion into the room.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, living rooms and bedrooms, the Cornova works well mounted vertically beside doorways, flanking a mirror or headboard, or in pairs along a corridor wall. The slim 45mm width suits narrow piers and reveals where a wider plate fitting would feel heavy. The 230V supply runs to a concealed driver behind the wall plate, leaving no visible cabling once installed on a standard back box.

The alabaster panel is cut from a single piece of stone, so the veining and tonal variation across the face differ between individual fittings. When lit, the natural marbling becomes visible as soft horizontal banding through the warm glow. The matte black copper surround frames the stone cleanly and provides the structural backbone, with the dark finish absorbing reflected light so the alabaster reads as the sole luminous element.

Can the Cornova be mounted horizontally?

The fitting is designed primarily for vertical installation, with the integrated LED running the full 450mm length of the alabaster panel. It can be installed horizontally above a console, mirror or headboard provided the wiring entry is positioned to suit; the light output is even either way.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED runs on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and driver — please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

Does each piece look the same?

No. The alabaster is cut from natural Spanish stone, so veining patterns, tonal banding and translucency vary between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No IP rating is listed for the Cornova, so it should be installed in dry interior locations only. It is not suitable for use within bathroom zones or in areas exposed to moisture.
