Description

The Cornova Small is a 260mm linear wall light built around a slim panel of natural Spanish alabaster set against a matt black solid copper backing. An integrated LED runs the full height of the alabaster, producing a continuous warm 3000K vertical line of light through the stone. The fitting measures 45mm wide with a 90mm projection from the wall, keeping the silhouette compact in plan while reading as a clean illuminated stroke from the front.

The vertical orientation suits hallways, stair walls, bedside positions in place of a table lamp, and either side of a bathroom or dressing mirror where directional task light isn't needed. At 260mm tall the small Cornova works well in pairs flanking a doorway or repeated along a corridor at regular intervals. Hard-wired installation to a standard back box is required, with the matt black housing concealing the driver and cable connection.

Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so the veining, translucency and tonal variation differ from one fitting to the next. When unlit, the alabaster reads as a soft off-white panel against the matt black surround; when lit, internal mineral patterning becomes visible and the stone takes on a warm glow. The solid copper carcass gives the fitting weight and rigidity behind a low-profile front face, and the matt black powder finish minimises reflections from adjacent fixtures or daylight.
