Cedar Point Outdoor 1 Light Wall Lantern - Black

The Cedar Point is a 326mm outdoor wall lantern with a pagoda-style roof and seeded glass panels set within a black metal frame. The lantern houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind four seeded glass panels divided by horizontal and vertical bars, creating a craftsman-style grid pattern. The glass texture diffuses the light source while allowing warm illumination to pass through to entrance areas and porches.

Designed for exterior porch lighting, front door surrounds and garage entrances, the Cedar Point carries an IP44 rating protecting it against water splashes from any direction and solid objects above 1mm. The 229mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the lantern body while the black finish suits both traditional cottage exteriors and contemporary dark-framed facades. The lantern mounts to a standard exterior back box with the wall plate concealing the fixings.

The seeded glass panels show a bubbled texture that was historically a by-product of hand-blown glass making but is now replicated intentionally for its light-diffusing properties and period character. The black powdercoat finish on the metal frame resists weathering and UV fade better than painted finishes. At 326mm tall and 197mm wide, the lantern provides noticeable presence on entrance walls without dominating smaller porch areas. Quoizel backs the fitting with a 3-year guarantee covering manufacturing defects and finish deterioration.

What does IP44 mean for outdoor use?

IP44 protects the internal components against water splashes from any direction and solid objects larger than 1mm. This makes the Cedar Point suitable for covered porches, entrance canopies and garage surrounds where the fitting is sheltered from direct rainfall but exposed to wind-driven spray.

What bulb should I use?

The lantern takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-8W and 2700K for a period appearance that matches the craftsman-style glass and metalwork. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can the seeded glass be replaced if damaged?

The glass panels are set into the metal frame during manufacture. Quoizel does not supply replacement glass as a separate component, so glass damage would require contacting Quoizel UK service or replacing the entire lantern.

How far does it project from the wall?

The lantern projects 229mm from the wall once mounted. This gives clearance for the lantern body and roof overhang without the fitting sitting too proud of typical entrance wall depths.
