Calla 3 Light Bar Pendant - Brushed Chrome

The Calla is a 3-light bar pendant built around a 520mm pressed steel bar in brushed chrome, from which three E27 lamp holders hang on grey fabric-covered cables. Each cable drop adjusts independently up to 1.8m, allowing the three pendants to be set at staggered or uniform heights depending on the installation context. The lamp holders are brushed chrome metal, continuing the finish from the bar.

Designed for linear spaces such as kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway runs, the Calla provides three independent points of light from a single ceiling fixing. The 520mm bar sits parallel to the long axis of the table or counter below, with the three drops typically spaced 150-200mm apart to give even coverage across a 1.2-1.8m surface. The independently adjustable cables mean each pendant can be raised or lowered to clear shelving, avoid sightlines, or create a cascading visual rhythm rather than a flat horizontal line.

The brushed chrome finish is a mid-sheen satin that softens reflections without appearing matte. It pairs comfortably with stainless steel appliances, polished nickel taps and chrome cabinet handles, as well as with greys, whites and warmer wood tones. The grey fabric cable adds textural contrast to the metal components and hides the electrical wiring more effectively than clear or white PVC flex. Each E27 fitting accepts bulbs up to 40W (sold separately) — most installations use warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W to mimic the appearance of traditional incandescent drops while keeping running costs low.

The pendant is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries Class I earthing, requiring a standard UK ceiling rose with earth connection. The 1940mm total projection from ceiling to the lowest point of the drop is based on full cable extension; shorter drops are achieved by coiling excess cable inside the lamp holder housing or using a cable grip at the desired height.

What bulbs does it take?

Each of the three lamp holders accepts a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W and 2700K for a traditional incandescent look with lower running costs.

Can the cable drops be adjusted to different heights?

Yes. Each of the three fabric cables adjusts independently up to 1.8m from the bar. This allows staggered or cascading arrangements rather than a flat horizontal line, or uniform heights where preferred.

Is the Calla dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted. The pendant itself is compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchase.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1940mm maximum projection is based on full cable extension. For typical kitchen island or dining table installations with the pendants hanging 700-900mm above the surface, ceiling heights of 2.4m or above work comfortably. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the fitting by shortening the cable drops during installation.
