Description

The Bravora is a 230mm tall rectangular wall light built from a solid block of light beige travertine, mounted to a walnut brown wooden backplate. The natural pores and horizontal striations of the travertine remain visible across all four faces of the stone, and an E27 lamp socket is housed within the body to cast light through the lower opening.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms, the Bravora fits walls where a substantial vertical fixture is wanted without a bulky shade. Single installation works as a defined wall accent next to artwork or a console; mounting in pairs along a hallway or above a bed builds a repeating rhythm. The 140mm width keeps the projection from the wall modest enough for narrower corridors.

The travertine is a porous sedimentary stone, and each piece shows different pitting, veining and tonal variation depending on the section it was cut from, so no two Bravora wall lights look identical. The dark walnut backplate contrasts with the pale stone and softens the visual weight of the rectangle, while the wood grain adds a second natural texture against the mineral surface of the travertine. The fitting is supplied with a 2-year warranty.

No. Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone, so the pitting, veining and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the material rather than a defect, and is why pairs and runs of Bravora lights have visible differences when viewed side by side.

How is the travertine cleaned?

Travertine is porous and benefits from gentle care. Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and avoid household sprays, acidic cleaners or polishes, which can stain or etch the stone.
