Description

The Bowee S2 is a two-light dome pendant light from the Bowee range. Two rounded shades sit on curved arms at staggered heights, hanging from one slim vertical stem, so the light falls at two levels rather than one. The body is 50cm tall and 50cm wide, and each shade is 14cm across and 10cm tall. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is 16W and gives 1120lm at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so colours look natural. We offer it in three finishes: Beige, Clear Turquoise or Black.

It belongs above a dining table or in a living room, where the offset shades give one pendant the reach of two lights: one lower over the table or a chair, one higher to light the wider room. It has a maximum drop of 250cm, which gives plenty of length for higher ceilings. It is phase-cut dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can keep it bright for dinner and soften it later in the evening. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The design is by Werner Aisslinger, and its clean geometry, simple domes on bent arms, keeps the pendant light easy to place in a modern or a more traditional room. The ceiling canopy is a neat 8cm across and 4cm high, so very little shows at the ceiling. It is a Class I fitting that runs on 230V mains and must be wired in by a qualified electrician. With the LED built in and no extra parts needed, it is ready to light your table as soon as it is installed. Our photographs show the black version.
