Description

The Blux F50 is a floor lamp from our Blux System range, made up of a round base, a tall stem, a jointed arm and a dome shade that you angle to put the light where you need it. It comes in Black, Red, Beige, Brass or Copper, so it can sit quietly in a dark scheme or add a warmer metallic tone to a lighter one. The base is 29cm across and carries a stem 113cm tall, with a lower arm and an upper arm each 50cm long. The dome head is 18cm tall and 17cm across, compact enough to aim light at a book or a chair rather than the whole room.

We see it most at home in a living room, standing beside an armchair or at the end of a sofa where you read, knit or catch up on the news. Because the arm is jointed, you can bring the head over your shoulder for reading, then lift it away and turn it towards a wall for gentler background light later in the evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is not dimmable, so there is no dimmer to buy or match; the brightness comes from the bulb you choose.

The lamp runs on mains power. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 10W, sold separately, and that bulb is what gives the lamp its light, so have one ready when you set it up; a warm white LED bulb at that wattage suits reading well. When choosing your finish, think about the room it will stand in: Black or Beige for a calm corner, Red for a bolder accent, Brass or Copper for a warmer look.
