The Blux F30 is a floor lamp from our Blux System range, built around a single dome shade on a slim stem with a jointed arm. It comes in black, red, beige, brass or copper, so you can choose a quiet colour or a warmer metallic tone to suit the room. The stem stands 113cm tall, the arm reaches 30cm out from it, and the round base is 29cm across, which keeps the footprint small beside a chair or sofa. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 10W, which gives the light and is sold separately, so you choose its colour and brightness yourself.

This is a lamp for the living room, and it is at its best beside an armchair or at the end of a sofa, where the jointed arm lets you bring the shade round and aim the light at a book, a newspaper or a piece of sewing. Because the light comes from one dome shade, it works as a reading lamp rather than lighting a whole room, so pair it with a ceiling light or table lamps for general light. It runs on mains power. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only, and it is not dimmable, so it will not work with a dimmer switch.

Its build is simple and honest: a straight stem, a jointed arm, a dome shade and a round base, with nothing fussy to catch dust. It is a Class II fitting, which means it is double insulated.
